Grass-fed, Grass-finished Highland Beef

Beef the way nature intended it. Scottish Highland Cattle are the oldest registered breed of cattle. Their large horns, thick skin and long shaggy coats which has allowed them to thrive over the centuries and continue to produce healthy, lively calves and fine beef. Natural selection has created a hardy, slower maturing animal that does not require extensive human intervention. Highlands haven’t lost the ability to thrive on good grass alone, no hormones or feed additives are required. The resulting beef is well-marbled and richly flavoured.

The cuts of meat are typically smaller than those found in the supermarket but a number of studies have shown that Highland Beef is lower in fat and cholesterol while higher in protein, iron and tenderness. Additionally, Grass-fed, Grass-finished beef has been shown to be leaner and contain higher levels of vitamins A & E and a greater proportion of Omega-3 fatty acids – the good kind.

20 and 30 Pound Mixed Box

We offer limited quantities of our highland beef by the twenty-pound or thirty-pound mixed box. A twenty-pound box will contain approximately 10 lbs of premium steaks, 3lbs of specially spiced burgers and 7- 1 lbs packages of ground beef. The thirty-pound box will contain 15 pounds of premium steaks, 5lb spiced burgers and 10 pounds of ground beef. All of our beef is processed by a provincially inspected facility and individually vacuum packed.

Wholes and Halfs

Preorder for this summer $8 per pound plus processing at a ministry appointed butcher. The average weight for a half is 225 - 250 pounds per half.
